Making
the world a better place extends beyond the goals of RBF Consulting as a company
and into the hearts of our employees. In their working lives the employees of
RBF strive daily to improve communities, infrastructure and the environment.
As an extension of their professions and in their personal lives, the employees
of RBF assume important volunteer roles in the communities in which they live
and work.
The community involvement activities taken on by RBF employees are extensive.
Many are involved in civic organizations, community events and fundraising efforts.
Using their RBF expertise to serve their communities, they fill the roles of
planning commissioners, regional water quality control board members, parks
and recreation commissioners, environmental review board members and a myriad
of other volunteer roles in local government.
RBF believes in supporting education to help develop future professionals in
our schools today. Numerous employees volunteer at our universities, colleges,
high schools, middle and elementary schools to improve the quality of education,
offer expert instruction and provide career guidance to our engineering, planning
and surveying leaders of tomorrow. Beyond the educational environment our firm's
employees work with youth in all areas, serving as coaches for sports activities,
leaders in scouting, church youth volunteers and parent-teacher association
board members.
RBF
employees volunteer at senior centers, in hospitals, and in orphanages. They
rehabilitate wildlife, raise funds to provide homes for the homeless and clean
up our coastal areas. Hundreds of hours are donated to our communities every
month by the dedicated volunteerism of RBF Consulting's employees.
RBF established a Good Works program to assists all RBF staff in sharing information
about opportunities for community service and organizing hands-on service activities.
As many RBF employees give their time, knowledge and experience to dozens of
community service programs throughout the year, it became apparent that a centralized
program was necessary to coordinate these Good Works efforts. It is not the
intent or purpose of this program to recommend or promote any particular community
service(s) but rather, to share information about community service organizations
and efforts that RBF staff are involved in, and to link those in the RBF family
who may have similar interests.
Volunteer activities allow us to build relationships with our communities,
which gives our staff a unique perspective and understanding of the shared responsibility
to improve those communities. Through this type of commitment and dedication,
RBF Consulting employees donate their time, resources and talents to our communities
to achieve their own ideals while continually doing their part to help make
the world a better place.
