The most southern city in California, San Diego is bordered on the west by the blue Pacific which imparts a warm, dry climate with glorious sunrises over the mountains to the east and incredible sunsets over the Pacific to the west.
San Diego offers some of the world's most famous attractions like the World Famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World Adventure Park and the San Diego Maritime Museum. San Diego also offers other great attractions and activities including historic Old Town; art and space museums in Balboa park; red trolley for day trips to Tijuana; Mexico, and scenic Coronado Island, home of the famous Hotel del Coronado resort.
There are many great places to shop in San Diego, such as the famous Horton Plaza in Downtown, the Uptown District, and the Gaslamp Quarter, a National Historic District which includes a 16-block area with restaurants, nightclubs, shops, and victorian-style commercial buildings.
Tons of beaches line San Diego's coastline, ranging from the surfer's beach, to the family beach, to the private romantic beaches hidden away from the crowds. Coronado Beach is a very popular spot for just sun bathing and relaxing. Mission Beach is popular with roller bladers; swimmers; surfers; volleyball players; grassy parks; bicycle paths; marinas; hotels, and Sea World. |
