RBF works with a coalition of experienced planners, known as Urban Design Studio (U.D.S), committing themselves to rediscovering their downtowns and neighborhoods as important social, cultural, environmental, economic, and historical assets. U.D.S. has worked with more than 150 neighborhoods and downtowns to develop revitalization plans and strategies that empower communities in their efforts to address issues of physical blight, disinvestment, vacant buildings, crime, and lack of identity. Urban Design Studio's focus on implementation and community-driven planning has helped neighborhoods and downtowns across the country experience significant success, newfound vitality, and sense of community pride.
