Transportation Planning Southern California Logistics Airport, Victorville, CA

RBF is providing several different services to the City of Victorville Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) including all transportation planning and circulation analysis. SCLA is the former George Air Force base in Victorville, California, which was closed by the government and transferred to the City of Victorville. RBF is providing planning, survey and engineering support to the development team of Stirling International and City of Victorville. Projects at SCLA include utility master plan for sewer, water and storm drain, large development parcels, improvement plans, water quality and various survey tasks in support of a master development plan for the airport and its surrounding acreage. Based on the proposed SCLA land use plan, RBF is preparing an onsite and off- site roadway/intersection analysis to determine the traffic impacts and related mitigation measures associated with the proposed project in accordance with Caltrans and San Bernardino Association of Governments (SANBAG) requirements to accommodate project-generated traffic. The analysis also addresses the planned State Route 18 Freeway, which has been proposed south of the project site, including the potential locations of freeway interchanges to serve the project site.
