MCAS Yuma ALTA Surveys, Yuma, AZ

RBF Consulting (RBF) provided survey and mapping services for the preparation of ALTA Surveys for 55 parcels of land the U.S. Government has under consideration for purchase. The properties were located adjacent to the south boundary of the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona. RBF performed a field survey of the boundary and prepared metes and bounds legal descriptions for all of the parcels based upon the boundary survey data. The planimetric features for the project area were captured using aerial photogrammetry which was then used as the base for the compilation of the ALTA Surveys. Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS surveying was used to reduce the amount of field time. RBF mobilized field crews from their San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona offices to complete the survey work in Yuma. The project was completed in six months.
