Novato is pleased to present the Questions and Answers regarding the Hamilton Property.
Bidders Conference
RFP Questions and Answers March 23, 1999
Hamilton Officer’s Club
The following were questions submitted which were not answered at the meeting:
Q: How many copies of the business offer should be submitted?
A:      One copy
Q: If the Capehart/Hillside units were torn down and replaced with new units (should a
responding developer make such a proposal), would this cause a problem with the
environmental analysis currently being conducted?
A:     The EIS prepared for the Disposal and Reuse of Hamilton Field assumed that
Capehart/Hillside units would be renovated, rather than demolished. In response to public
comment received during the scoping process, the Hamilton Field Redevelopment EIR,
(available for public review in mid May, 1999), will programatically evaluate the impacts
of Capehart/Hillside demolition in the alternatives section. Detailed construction level
impacts may need to be evaluated on a site-specific basis once a development proposal (i.e.
Precise Development Plan/Tentative Map) is submitted to the City for review during the
entitlement process.
Q: How much was the Navy paying for fire protection prior to the current legal
controversy between NFPD and the federal government?
A:      $27,500 per month
Q: Which water district will the Master Developer be required to deal with?
A:      This is currently being negotiated.
